Book Updates

Wow it has been a long time since my last update. The book is doing well. I have not found many ways to advertise to a larger audience but I am trying. In addition to the internet sales we have been successiful in stocking the book at Barnes and Noble stores local to the Charlotte NC area. I will start back with monthly updates to try and add suggestions for others that may be following my success. If anyone has ideas for marketing, please share them with me.

Marketing Update

Posted by: Tony Wright
We have been very busy with our first book apearance and also working to have God Sent Tommy available in local bookstores. Helen attends Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Matthews, North Carolina. The pastor Ron Riddley allowed Debby to speak on Helens behalf concerning why we feel that God Sent Tommy needs to be read. She did an outstanding job presenting information about Tommy's life to the congregation.

I have been informed that there has been a lot of request to purchase the book in local book stores in the Charlotte area as well as Greenville, South Carolina and the city of Hendersonville, North Carolina. I would like to let everyone know that we now have the book available at Barnes and Noble located at Carolina Place Mall in Pineville. We are also working on the New Creation Christian Store in Matthews located near HWY 74 and Hwy 51. In addition to these we believe that Barnes and Noble locations at 4020 Sharon Road and the Arboretum Shopping Center will also stock the book soon. We have selected two locations so far in Hendersonville to carry the book, they are the Open Door and Walden Books in the Blue Ridge Mall. We will also be contacting Barnes and Noble and Books A. Million in Ashville. Please let me know of any additional bookstores you would suggest stocking God Sent Tommy.

Helen wishes to thank you all for supporting her through the purchasing and reading of the book and continues to ask that you spread the word about the book to your friends and family. She hopes that the strong Faith message that was Tommys life will touch others and bring about a new understanding of how God can work in our lives. Thank you for your support.

Now Available on Kindle (eBook)

Amazon now has God Sent Tommy available on the Kindle (eBook) version for $9.99. This would make a great Christmas present for anyone that owns the Kindle reader. If you do not own the Kindle reader you can download software to your computer from Amazon to read the Kindle books. The software is free to download and most books sale for $9.99 or less to purchase. Give the computer version a try. Amazon has a large selection of free eBooks for download.

KINDEL for PC - NEW

The beta version of Amazons Kindle for PC is available for download. This is huge!!! No need to spend the $259.00 if you would like to read books on your PC. I downloaded the software and added a couple of free books to read in about 15 minutes. The look and feel of the software is great. This is a huge step for Amazon to allow PC users this advantage. Please give it a try. You will definately thank me for the information.

WOW Great service from Barnes and Noble

Just to bring you up to date. I ordered the new book "God Sent Tommy" at 10:30pm Monday night from the Barnes and Noble on-line bookstore. It arrived today at 6pm via UPS. This was better service than I thought possible. The shipping plan was a two to three day delivery which cost the same as standard delivery. Barnes and Noble has discounted the price so that with shipping added back in the retail price of the book is approximately what I paid. I am very pleased with the service. If Amazon discounts the book price any time soon I will order a book from them to compare the service. Please let me know if anyone has any POD questions

I have ordered what I believe is the first book to be purchased from Barnes and Noble on Monday. It is shipping via UPS and is scheduled to arrive today. The print on demand feature of this book allows retailers to ship from the printer which is located in Nashville Tennessee. This is exciting for all involved in the entire publishing process. With this POD system book publishers do not need to print and store books in warehouses to meet the demand. I will followup tonight on the arrival. Helen has agreed to sign my copy as book #1. She will be recieving her copies from Wheatmark any day.

Now for sale on Amazon.com

God Sent Tommy is now on sale at Amazon.com. The sale page has been partially developed but does not show the book cover. I understand that it takes several weeks for Amazon to complete the design of the final sales page. I will be adding an authors page to Amazon in the near future. You can access the Amazon sales page by clicking on the Title of this post or by clicking the Amazon link in "my favorite links" found on the lower right side of the blog.
